Fixed Interest Investing: Key Features
Stable returns
Fixed interest investments are a superb diversifier to an existing stock portfolio as they are not correlated to the market. The return is fixed, meaning the value of your investment is unaffected by volatility. With fixed interest, you know the value of your investment at all times.
100% asset-backed
All our fixed interest investments are asset-backed and secured by a first legal charge and debenture. This means that, in the highly unlikely event the issuing company is unable to meet its obligations to you, its assets will be liquidated and you will have first call on the proceeds.
Regulated security trustee
Bluewater Capital are the appointed security trustee for all our fixed interest investments. They are UK-based and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority. Their role is to ensure your investment is protected, and oversee the debenture held over the company receiving the investment.
Who is this for?
- Investors that are looking to diversify away from stocks
- Investors with short-term investment goals (1-5 years)
- Investors concerned about the outlook for the stock market
- Sophisticated investors looking for stability
- Investors looking for a zero-fee option
How does it work?
You can choose whether your investment is distributing or deferred.
A distributing investment pays regular interest (monthly, quarterly or every six months) to provide you with an ongoing return.
A deferred investment rolls up the interest payable until the end of the investment term (usually 2 years). As you have to wait to see this return, the interest available on a deferred investment is usually higher.
Investments are made via transfer to an onshore UK bank account, before subsequently being placed with the company receiving the investment. You will receive a certificate as proof of investment, and your interest payments will then be made to your bank account directly.

Why fixed income? Why now?
There are very few safe places for your money in 2022. And with inflation at record levels, the worst asset to hold is cash.
Ask yourself:
(1) Is my portfolio diversified?
(2) How protected am I against market risk?
(3) What risks am I taking by doing nothing?
(4) What does my financial advisor recommend?
